Open Shop vs. Union
If the two sides of labor were to square off, who would win the fight? Or should we soften the question to competition? Well, the answer depends on how victory is defined. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), union membership has been declining since the rock-hop fifties. Consumer Confidence Mixed
Measures of consumer confidence were mixed in the most recent release. The Conference Board reported that the Consumer Confidence Index increased by 3.2 points on a month-over-month seasonally adjusted basis in December to 80.7.
